General Information

The First All-Russian Conference on Liquid Crystals will continue the traditional All-Soviet Union Liquid Crystalline Conferences, which started for the first time in Ivanovo and gathered together hundreds of researchers from the former Republics of the Soviet Union and foreign countries. After disintegration of the Soviet Union there were a number of the Conferences and Symposia in Russia, but only on the selected scientific topics concerning liquid crystals and their practical applications. Part of them, such as "Lyotropic Liquid Crystals" and "Chistyakov’s Reading", were held in Ivanovo. The Presidium of the “Russian Liquid Crystalline Society” "Commonwealth" has come to a decision on the resumption of Liquid Crystalline Conferences in Russia.

The scientific programme will include invited lectures, oral and poster contributions (90 cm high × 60 cm wide).

The official language of the Conference is Russian (Abstracts, slides for presentation, and posters can be prepared in English).

Deadlines

March 15, 2012 – submission of registration forms;

March 30, 2012 – submission of abstracts;

March 30, 2012 – hotel reservation deadline;

April 15, 2012 – registration fee payments

Conference fee

• Active participant – 3000 rub.

• PhD student / student – 1500 rub.

• Accompanying person – 1000 rub.

Conference fee includes the access to all scientific sessions, conference abstracts, coffee breaks, all-together party.

Payment details

Foreign participants may pay the conference fee in cash during their registration.

Accommodation

Accommodation of non-local participants will be organized at the "Tourist" hotel (153002, Ivanovo, Naberezhnaya Street, 9). More information about the hotel and accommodation is available at http://eng.ivanovoturist.ru

Non-local participants should provide the information on their accommodation requirements (room category; single/double) for the Organizing Committee before March 30th, 2012 so that we could book the hotel for the required dates.

Proceedings Papers

The proceedings of the conference will be published in a special issue of "Liquid Crystals and their Practical Application", 2012.

The journal is registered in the Federal Service of the Inspectorate over the Legislation Implementation in Mass Communications and Preservation of Cultural Inheritance, Registration certificate PI № FS77-21092 of May 19, 2005. ISSN 1991 – 3966.

The journal is peer-reviewed and recommended by the Supreme Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation to publish main results of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences dissertations.
