Abstract The development of new or rationalization of known methods for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, their metal complexes and derivatives that act as precursors in the preparation of drugs, macroheterocyclic compounds are significant tasks in the synthesis of organic substances. In our opinion, from this point of view, triazoles and their derivatives are the most promising objects for chemical modification, which will create highly effective biologically active compounds of various structure. This paper is a continuation of our earlier studies of 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole and its derivatives, in order to expand the possibility of their practical application. Here, we discusse the synthesis and composition of manganese complexes of various structures based on 3,5-diamino-1H-1,2,4-triazole, which itself is widely used in medical practice and, most importantly, for the treatment of cancer. In addition, manganese is one of the most important transition metals in the human body, which takes an active part in the metabolism and antioxidant system of the body. Low toxicity in combination with low doses of manganese and its presence in the active centers of many enzymes creates the prerequisite for the creation of biomimetic manganese-containing complexes with pharmacological activity. The structure of the obtained compounds was established using modern physico-chemical research methods.
