			        | AbstractThe possibility of use of liquid crystals as cutting fluid components for blade cutting of metals was considered on the example of the magnetic microcapsules of industrial oils with iodine additives. It was established that the use of liquid crystals in the form of microcapsules can significantly increase/broaden the range of temperatures at which liquid crystals, applied as cutting fluid components, have the maximum effect.

Keywords: liquid crystals, cutting fluid components, magnetic microcapsules, blade cutting, iodine-additive components, contact zone, juvenile surface
