Abstract
The polymer-dispersed liquid crystal films with submicron sizes of liquid crystal droplets have been prepared by method of acrylic monomers photopolymerization. The influence of liquid crystal concentration, a copolymer composition and additions of the cross-linker and the chain transfer agent on droplet sizes, transparent and voltage-contrast characteristics of polymer dispersed liquid crystal films have been investigated. It is shown that in the modified structures the increase in contrast till 0,98 and decrease in threshold fields up to 1,2 V/μm is reached.

Keywords: liquid crystal, photopolymerization, acrylic monomers, polymer-dispersed liquid crystal films, electro-optical properties
