Forming and Structural Investigations of Langmuir-Blodgett Films Based on Crown Ether

Abstract
Investigations of structural transformations in floating layers of fullerene C₆₀, dibenzo-18-crown-6 and their mixture and structure of Langmuir-Blodgett film formed on the base of the mixture were carried out by methods of π-A isotherms, atomic force microscopy and X-ray diffraction. It was shown that in floating layers an aggregation of C₆₀ molecules is inhibited by complexation of molecules of fullerene and crown ether. Sandwich-like comlex formed by the molecules of fullerene and crown ether is basic element of the film structure in which fullerene-fullerene contacts of chain type are realized.
