Sublimation Enthalpy of Aliphatic Dipeptide of DL-α-Alanyl-DL-α-Valine and Energy of Hydrogen Bonds in the Crystal

Abstract
By mass-spectrometry method the process of sublimation of DL-α- alanyl-DL-α-valine aliphatic dipeptide was investigated. The range of temperatures in which there is a sublima-tion of a substance as monomeric molecular forms was determined. The value of sublimation enthalpy of the dipeptide was obtained for the first time. Using semi-empirical methods of quantum chemistry (AM1), the calculations of energy of H-bond formation between molecules in crystal form of DL-α- alanyl-DL-α-valine were carried out.
