Abstract
Lyotropic liquid crystal systems based on nonionic surfactants monododecyl ether of deca- and tetraethylene glycol, cadmium nitrate and water have been synthesized. Polarizing optical microscopy has been used for investigation of their phase behavior, temperature and concentration ranges of mesophase existence. Geometric parameters of the structural organization were determined by the method of x-ray diffraction at small angles.

Keywords: lyotropic liquid crystal, d-element, nonionic surfactant, template, SAXS
