Diffraction of Light on Polarization Holographic Gratings Formed on Liquid Crystal Composites

Abstract The diffraction effectiveness of polarization holographic gratings, recorded by two plate light waves with orthogonal linear polarization, was experimentally studied. The dependences of diffraction effectiveness on a temperature and azimuthal angle of probe beam polarization were obtained. The capability of diffraction efficiency control by the variation of probe beam polarization and heating was shown.
