Influence of Non-Mesomorphic Additives on Properties of Liquid Crystalline Materials. V. Binary Mixtures of n-Butyl-4(4'-Ethoxyphenyloxycarbonyl)phenyl Carbonate + 4-(6-Hydroxyhexyl)Oxybenzonitrile

The properties of binary mixtures on the base of nematic n-butyl-4(4'-ethoxyphenyloxycarbonyl)phenylcarbonate with non-mesogenic 4-(6-hydroxyhexyl)oxy-benzonitrile were studied. It was shown that addition of polar compound resulted in increase in birefringence and dielectric anisotropy. The estimation of associative state of individual liquid crystal and its mixtures with non-mesogens was carried out.
