Abstract
The paper considers properties of the panoramic liquid crystal sensors of temperature and shear stress applicable to aerodynamic experiments. The effects of temperature and shear stress on the wavelength of the selective reflection of the light of cholesteric liquid crystals are examined. The examples of the use of liquid crystal sensors for investigation of the structure of the near-wall flows under subsonic and hypersonic flow velocity are presented.
