Non-Newtonian Flow of Structured Systems. II. Analysis of Flow Curves

Abstract We describe the curves of viscosity and flow curves of structured systems. It is shown that the complex rheological behavior can be explained within the framework of a generalized model of the flow. The reason for non-Newtonian flow of dispersed and polymer systems is due to the destruction and formation of aggregates of particles (macromolecules) in shear flow.
