Application of Strengthening Technologies for Reliability Increasing of Friction Bearing Knots of Centrifugal Pump Ntspn-40/100

Abstract The article presents test results on a nanomaterial developed for reliability increasing of friction bearing knots of the fire centrifugal pump. It is shown that under conditions of dry and semi-dry friction the «polymer–metal» friction pair works better than hard alloys and siliconised graphites which was manifested in the engine shutdown at a higher load and after a longer period of time. It is established that the polymer nanomaterial surpasses the siliconized graphite and other materials on such characteristics as contact pressure, wear resistance and friction coefficient. According to data obtained the «polymer–metal» friction pair is perspective for further investigations. It is necessary to carry out tests under operation conditions or conditions similar to them.
