Abstract The influence of temperature and humidity conditions on flax growth is established: temperature and rainfall in different periods of flax growth on their molecular and supramolecular structure in the surface area. Liquid crystals were used to assess the energy state of the fibers surface area. Infrared spectroscopy by means of frustrated total internal reflection method was also applied. Research in this area can be used to generate additional factor for flax fiber formation with desired characteristics of their functional and technological properties.
