Abstract
A semi-empirical method for determining the interfacial tension in spherical micelles in solutions of mesogenic sodium n-alkylsulfates surfactants is proposed. On the basis of obtained interfacial tension components, Tolmen parameter, electrostatic ion repulsion energy and static permittivity in the surface layer of the micelles of sodium n-alkylsulfate homologues (where the number of carbon atoms in the molecule is equal to 8, 10, 12 and 14) were calculated.

Keywords: surfactants, micelles, curved surfaces, interfacial tension, Tolmen parameter, dielectric constant, sodium n-alkylsulphates
